Dr. Swift received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where she was the Hope Scholar for Distinguished Achievement in Basic Sciences. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is a member of the Society for Hospital Medicine and the American College of Physicians.

Before coming to CVMC, Dr. Swift served as an inpatient attending physician at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in the division of Hospital Medicine. She was also on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
