Having a primary care doctor is important to your general health because it provides you access to a wide spectrum of health services, including preventive care, such as cancer screenings; chronic care for conditions like asthma, hypertension, and diabetes; and acute care for symptoms like cough, stomach pain, or high fever.

Patient-Centered Medical Home

All of CVMC's primary care and pediatric practices recently achieved recognition status for Patient Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). The patient centered medical home is a model of care that emphasizes care coordination and communication to transform primary care into “what patients want it to be.”

Our Primary Care Services

Central Vermont Medical Center provides primary care services through 8 medical group practices at convenient locations throughout central Vermont, as well as two Urgent Care clinics.

Pediatric Primary Care

Our pediatric providers offer child-friendly, family-centered general pediatric care.

Adult Primary Care/General Internal Medicine

Our Primary Care and General Internists provide adult and adolescent primary care and coordinate any specialty care that you might need. We have practices at the following locations

Family Medicine

Our Family Medicine providers are specially trained to provide care to individuals and entire families. We have Family Medicine practices at the following locations:

Women's Health (Obstetrics and Gynecology)

We offer comprehensive gynecologic and obstetrical care for women of all ages.

Express Care

All ages can receive express care through our Express Care clinic in Berlin. Click here for information and updated hours.

Community Providers

The following community practices also provide a variety of primary care services:
