About to graduate from nursing school?

Central Vermont Medical Center offers a Nurse Residency Program each spring.

This program allows new RN graduates to work directly with experienced nurses and transition into professional hospital nursing positions. You will work one-on-one with a preceptor to become proficient in the basic skills required to be an RN.

Residents of this program will receive full-time wages and benefits. Permanent position placements will be dependent upon current staffing needs.

Applicants will receive an email with further instructions after submitting their application. Please be sure to respond to the email with the additional requirements. All requirements must be submitted in order to be considered a qualified candidate for this program.

“The most important thing for me is that nurses are able to practice at the top of their skill and knowledge, and they have a real voice in the decision making regarding how that practice is done. We have a very robust shared governance program that's been in place for several years now, and just continues to get stronger as it evolves.”

Matthew Choate, Chief Nursing Officer
