Woodridge Rehabilitation and Nursing
CVMC’s Woodridge Rehabilitation and Nursing is a not-for-profit facility beautifully set within the Green Mountain town of Berlin, Vermont. Our organization dates back to the 1970s, when we began providing long-term care to residents of the former Heaton House in Montpelier and McFarland House in Barre.
Today our facility provides both long-term and short-term care to individuals needing nursing and rehabilitation services. Whether our residents are here for short-term or long-term care, our primary goal is always to help them return to as much independence as possible.
Respect and Compassion Are Hallmarks of our Care
Woodridge is known for excellence in nursing, from standard services to highly skilled care, such as palliative care, advanced wound treatment and pain management. Residents also receive the highest quality physical, occupational, speech and swallowing therapies.
Residents’ families are a fundamental part of Woodridge Life. We welcome their participation in care planning and caregiving, and invite them to take part in all activity programs. Our social worker, chaplain and other staff support family members as they explore ways to be involved in their loved one’s lives.
Activities and Community Involvement
Woodridge offers an exceptional program of activities for its residents. Every resident has many opportunities to engage in preferred personal and group activities, and there is specialized activity programming for those with dementia or other special needs.
