On Monday, November 17, 2014 a number of dignitaries placed their ceremonial shovels in the ground, including Norwich University President Richard W. Schneider, University of Vermont Health Network-Central Vermont Medical Center President and CEO Judy Tartaglia, and Green Mountain Family Practice Medical Director Craig Sullivan, MD.

Lois Eby’s  “Chasing the Blues” exhibit refers to the Blues as a musical tradition, and one which comes from the heart, expresses sorrow, and bestows. Her work honors the Blues and their deep expression of what it is to be human.

Jean Rubalcaba, CVMC Auxilian of the Year

CVMC Auxilian of the Year, Barre resident Jean Rubalcaba, has been a volunteer at CVMC for 45 years. She volunteers at the lobby information desk, the gift shop, and is an active member of the Auxiliary, currently serving on the board of directors.

Berlin, Vt – During calendar year 2013, 168 Central Vermont Medical Center volunteers contributed 21,175 hours.  Volunteers serve at the hospital, the cancer center, Woodridge Rehabilitation & Nursing and The CVMC Auxiliary Bene-Fit Shop in Barre.  In addition, members of the CVMC Board of Trustees, CVMC Auxiliary and individuals from the community gave of their time and talents.
