Artist Statement

I wake each morning to the sound of crows and ravens on my 70 acre piece of heaven. Painting birds, both from near and far, has been a lifelong passion. I aim to capture the personality ofeach bird and try to do justice to plumage, color, and texture inherent in each species. I’ll never be ableto capture on paper all of the birds that inhabit our planet, but look forward to a lifetime of inspiration and wonder in each and every one. Enjoy, and please take the time to look up, listen, and marvel at the avian neighbors with which we share our planet. Linda Mirabile lives in Berlin, Vermont, and along with painting she has a graphic design studio, RavenMark, that primarily works with nonprofit organizations and environmental groups.
