All Grief Support Groups are open to anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one. There is no fee. We focus on learning together about coping with grief, with the intention of receiving and offering support through the sharing of personal grief experiences.

Moderate Yoga to Improve Balance

In this class we will strengthen and increase the flexibility of our feet, ankles, hips, core, and back muscles to improve balance. We will cultivate body awareness and focus our attention through mindful movement, using the breath to stay present. We will also work with various tools to support overall balance of body, emotions, mind and spirit.

The Parkinson’s Pantomime Project

Please note: This class is sponsored by the Montpelier Senior Activity Center and does not meet at the hospital (see location information at left).

Offered for people with Parkinson’s disease, their caregivers, and others who experience movement/mobility challenges, this class employs basic mime technique as a method for coping with movement limitations. Participants explore visualization, articulation of gesture, and creative use of imagery and space.
