Biographical Information

Catherine Mygatt Naden, MD is a Primary Care Sports Medicine physician whose areas of expertise include chronic and acute joint problems, stress injuries, non-surgical or undifferentiated fractures, concussions, and female athlete triad. She will work with the patient and rehab services to formulate and facilitate a rehabilitative plan, and refer to orthopedic surgery when operative management is indicated.

Additional office-based therapeutic modalities include ultrasound diagnostics, ultrasound-guided joint injections, casting and splinting, and osteopathic manipulative techniques.

Dr. Mygatt Naden attended Williams College where she was a first team division III All American rower. She attended the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency at Greater Lawrence Family Medicine in Lawrence, MA. She then went on to Boston University to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine where she was the team physician for Boston University Varsity Men’s Soccer and Women’s Lacrosse and Basketball, Club Men’s Rugby and Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey; Massachusetts Institute of Technology Football; and Chelsea High School Athletics.

Dr. Mygatt Naden’s strong connection to Vermont began long before medical school. She grew up coming to the family home in Fayston her father bought in 1970 “My father’s my connection to Vermont. Through him, I fell I love with the place. I went to medical school because I wanted to be a small town Vermont doctor.” Dr. Mygatt Naden now lives with her husband and daughter in that same home that connected her to Vermont.
