Ellen graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy and from Touro University International with a MS in Healthcare Management. Ellen relocated to Vermont from upstate New York in 2006. Her career has included management of rehab, medical practice and other clinical services  along with her clinical experience that includes acute inpatients, Inpatient Rehab, Cardiopulmonary Rehab and general outpatient therapy. When not working Ellen and her husband can be found hiking, skiing, kayaking, snowshoeing, bicycling and herding cats.

Lauren Briere earned her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. As an OT, Lauren has worked in a variety of settings with clients throughout the lifespan. She spent the early part of her decade plus career serving the pediatric population. Now her primary area of interest is orthopedic upper extremity injuries. Lauren is a Therapeutic Yoga Teacher in her spare time, and enjoys spending time with her husband and active young boys skiing, swimming and hiking.

She started the lymphedema program at CVMC and has a certification in the Vodder Method for lymphedema treatment. She enjoys working with patients to help them reach their personal goals using evidence based current practice utilizing manual therapy techniques and prescribed exercise. In her free time she enjoys all the great outdoors of VT has to offer especially mountain biking and skiing.

Besides her special interest in orthopaedics and wellness, Kim has been involved with ergonomics since 1995, providing onsite ergonomic assessments and educational programs for several Vermont and New Hampshire based companies in such diverse industries as manufacturing, construction, banking, food and beverage delivery companies, utilities and general office settings.

Cathal was educated at the University of Limerick in Ireland and graduated in 2009 with a BSc 1st Class Honors in Physiotherapy. He has worked for 6 years in Ireland before joining the team at CVMC in 2015. His main area of interest is sports injury and rehab having completed a course in Advanced Sports Rehabilitation at Curtin University, Perth, Australia. He has also worked with high level athletes in Ireland. He likes to treat various musculoskeletal conditions and has a special interest managing patients with chronic pain disorders. He is trained in dry needling and has studied under various international experts when it comes to tendinopathy, shoulders and low back pain. In his spare time he likes to play sports and get into the outdoors.

Her main area of interest is in neurological rehab with a certification in Neuro-IFRAH, a treatment approach for stroke rehabilitation. She enjoys working with many patient populations and has received advance training in ART, a manual treatment to reduce adhesions in soft tissue and improve ROM. Julie Rossignol, graduated in 1992 from the University of Montreal with a Bachelor in Occupational Therapy. She has worked in a variety of different Rehabilitation settings including acute, sub-acute and out patient therapy in 7 different states along the East coast. She is the lead Occupational Therapist for CVMC and has worked for CVMC for 10 years. She specializes in hand therapy, wheelchair assessment and prescription, and in cancer/lymphedema therapy. She became a certified Lymphedema Management Therapist 10 years ago and became a member of LANA (Lymphology Association of North America) shortly after. She has been a guest speaker about edema and lymphedema prevention and management at multiple medical functions and meetings over the years. She also works as a consultant with CVMC's Cancer Center.

Hannah graduated from the University of Montana in 2007 with a doctorate in physical therapy. She then went on to complete a post-graduate residency with the Ohio State University Medical Center in neurologic rehabilitation, and has attained an American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties accreditation as a Neurologic Certified Specialist (NCS). Her treatment philosophy reflects the current research basis for a shift from teaching patients with neurologic injury to compensate to a recovery based model, and uses a dynamic systems theory approach, meaning that the patient needs to learn to self correct for errors and become independent with movements/techniques. Use our online form to request an appointment with a CVMC Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT) or Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). Once you have filled out the form below, you will be contacted by a scheduler from our Rehabilitation Therapy department.

Referrals: Appointments for OT or SLP require a provider referral. Note that some PT may also require a referral. Our scheduler will discuss this with you on the phone. Click here for more information about Referrals.
