At University of Vermont Health Network – Central Vermont Medical Center our rehabilitation therapy department is committed to providing the best possible care, close to home. Our highly trained and qualified therapists are dedicated to helping people maximize their quality of life while improving or restoring their physical strength, mobility and cognition.

Our people are great at what they do and the numbers show it!

Using Focus On Therapeutic Outcomes, a rehabilitation therapy assessment tool, we can track the progress of our clients, their rehab outcomes and their satisfaction. We are proud of our services and want you to know a little about them too.

High Patient Satisfaction

In the last three months of 2015, UVM Health Network – CVMC Rehabilitation Therapy scored a 97.94% in overall patient satisfaction – exceeding the national average. We also scored a 99.77% on our level of courtesy and respect.

Outcomes Exceed National Benchmarks

Our services rank at the top 15% of 2,000 facilities worldwide based on the functional improvement of our patients. For the last three months we’ve ranked in the 82nd percentile for our orthopedic rehabilitation and 89th percentile for our neurology therapy - exceeding national benchmarks in both categories.

Same or Next Day Access

Rehabilitation patients report ease in scheduling appointments for their initial evaluation. Our goal is to see people within two days at our main rehabilitation facility located on the Barre-Montpelier Road in Berlin. We have hired additional staff and now have same day and next day appointments available there on a consistent basis. At our satellite locations we strive to see patients within a five-day window and have been able to consistently maintain this access.
