Please note: This class is sponsored by the Montpelier Senior Activity Center and does not meet at the hospital (see location information at left).
In this class we will strengthen and increase the flexibility of our feet, ankles, hips, core, and back muscles to improve balance. We will cultivate body awareness and focus our attention through mindful movement, using the breath to stay present. We will also work with various tools to support overall balance of body, emotions, mind and spirit.
This is a moderate class for those experienced with yoga. Participants should be comfortable getting up and down from the floor and standing for extended periods of time.
Taught by Ragan Sheridan Royer, a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) with the International Association of Yoga Therapy. She is also an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) with Integrative Yoga Therapy, a Registered Pregnancy Yoga Teacher (RPYT) and has 12 years of experience teaching yoga and meditation and working with clients in yoga studios, corporate settings and medical institutions.
