This flu season is just beginning in our region. It’s annoying. It’s inconvenient. And it should be taken seriously. This contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses can make you feel miserable, keep you from work and holiday gatherings or, worse, send you to the hospital. According to the CDC, flu resulted in up to 61,200 deaths last year, October 2018 - May 2019.
