Berlin, VT -- Brianne Hodge, PA, has joined Austin Sumner, MD, MPH and Laurance Thompson, MS clinical psychologist at the University of Vermont Health Network - Central Vermont Medical Center Occupational Medicine Department. Occupational Medicine supports businesses in maintaining the health, wellness, and safety of their workforce through prevention and management of work related injury, illness, and disability.
Hodge is a recent graduate of the Master’s of Physician Assistant Science program at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. She also received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences at the same university. Brianne is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
“As my first job out of school I am excited for the opportunity to work in a field that takes a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care,” said Hodge, who will work alongside physicians, rehabilitation therapists and clinical psychologists. “I am always interested in taking the time to understand my patient’s needs and learn their stories, and I look forward to helping them get back to their healthy functioning lifestyles as quickly and safely as possible.”
Brianne moved to Vermont to join her husband, who is a doctoral student at the University of Vermont. Having grown up in Erie, PA, Brianne took her first winter in Vermont in stride, braving the ski slopes on some bitter cold days, but is definitely embracing the arrival of warmer weather.
