Testimonials“It was a magical experience and I was surrounded by such a loving team.”

And look at THIS beautiful team! Pediatrician Emily Urquhart-Scott is a MOM...to 6-year old Jasper (to her right) and 4-year old Madeleine (near dad), little Willow, age 2, and now to lovely Tessa Linden Scott. Born on Tuesday, February 23, Tessa weighed 7lb/6oz and was 19” long and we bet she’ll be a redhead like her brother Jasper. Her sisters and brother are thrilled their baby sister has finally arrived and dad, Richard Scott (age unknown), looks pretty happy watching over his big happy family. May every day be magical.
“It was very educational and supportive and a wonderful place and time for our situation. We were really able to be with him and watch him grow.”

And grow he did! Silvan Pan Allison Graham was born on January 19 at FAHC at 32 weeks. He weighed 3lb/11oz. He came to CVMC a week later to grow strong enough to nurse and thrive without medical intervention. His mom, Adrian Allison, and his dad, Ben Graham, bunked in at the birthing center with their little guy for a month. We found the excited, happy parents about to venture home to Plainfield with beautiful little Silvan Pan, aptly named after the spirit of the woods. He now weighs 6lb/6oz. YAY! All here send best wishes for his robust future running and playing in the woods.
“My nurses were incredible...especially Sharon. My son Hayden was born here before the new Birthing Center and I can’t believe the difference. I love my big, comfortable room and I really loved the tub. It made a big difference!”

Colin (4) and Hayden (2) Trottier have a baby sister! Sweet Erin Violet was born on Wednesday, February 10 and weighed 7lb/4oz and was 18” long. Mom Brandy and dad Scott are thrilled to have a daughter. We found them enjoying a few quiet moments together before heading home to introduce Erin to her big brothers. The Trottier family live in Orange. We wish them peace and happiness.
“The staff were awesome. Everyone was very attentive.”

Northfield has new reasons to be proud. Connor Ryland Schrader is one reason. Mom and Dad, Britney and Michael Schrader, are mighty proud also. Their beautiful son, their first child, was born on 4 January 2010. He weighed 7lb/2oz and is 19.5” long. Snoozing when we saw him, we hope Connor inherited either one his parents’ beautiful smiles. The other reason for Northfield’s pride is that Dad Michael is in the Vermont National Guard. He is being deployed on Friday to Afghanistan. We share their families’ relief and joy that Dad was here for Connor’s birth and wish Michael Godspeed and Mom and Connor peaceful times together keeping the home fires burning.
“We had a very pleasant experience. Everything was fantastic.”

Well, ‘tis the season ... and new babies are always cause for celebration! And this is extra special because our very own Doctors Felsted became parents! Yes, Laura and Andrew celebrated Thanksgiving a few days early with the arrival of Piper Allen Felsted on Tuesday, November 24. She weighed 6lb/15oz and is 20” long. Her mom Laura, of Barre Internal Medicine, and her dad Andrew, one of our Emergency Department doctors, are naturals. The happy Felsted family live in Waterbury. Our warmest congratulations!
