Central Vermont Medical Center President and CEO Judy Tarr recently promoted Nancy Lothian to Chief Operating Officer. “Nancy has earned the respect and admiration of people at all levels of our organization,” noted Judy. “She is incredibly bright and a very effective manager. I have been exceedingly impressed with her management of the planning for our new Cancer Treatment Center. The operational planning of this complex and challenging project was handled by Nancy in a skillful and professional way.”
Nancy had been Vice President of Clinical Operations, a position she has held since 2008. Prior to that she had been Director of Ancillary Clinical Operations, Director of Radiation Services, Business Planning and Development, and Director of Diagnostic Imaging.
Nancy worked at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center as the Radiology Operations Manager for twelve years and was associated with Fonar Corporation in New York State as a Regional MRI Manager.
She received her Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology at the University of Vermont and her BS in Business Management from the University System of New Hampshire. Nancy earned a Master of Business Administration in Leadership from Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire.
“I feel privileged to have been given this role at CVMC,” stated Nancy. “Bringing the National Life Cancer Treatment Center from a concept to reality has been challenging and rewarding. I truly believe this new facility will help change the lives of central Vermont residents requiring radiation therapy. It’s closer and more accessible than the tertiary centers patients previously had to travel to.”
Nancy lives in Corinth, Vermont with her partner Penny Lowery. Nancy enjoys gardening, snowshoeing, music, reading business literature, birding and working the land around her camp and home with her John Deere tractor.
