Hand Therapy

Hand therapy helps a patient regain maximum use of their hand after injury, surgery or the onset of disease such as wrist fractures, tendon repairs, rheumatoid arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome.

At CVMC Rehabilitation Services, treatment is provided by a Certified Hand Therapist (an occupational or physical therapist) who has been trained in the additional techniques necessary to provide hand therapy. Hand therapists teach exercises, apply modalities and create custom splints to help the hand heal and to protect it from additional injury.
