
Ambulatory Care is a unit within the hospital where care is provided to patients for many different reasons. A staff of Registered Nurses and License Practical Nurses admit and discharge patients having surgical and endoscopy procedures, administer IV medications and blood transfusions, and provide care for patients having other outpatient procedures, such as eye laser treatments and chronic pain procedures.
The following procedures take place in Ambulatory Care:
SURGERYBoth inpatient and same day surgery are performed in our five state-of-the-art operating rooms. |
INFUSION ROOMThe Infusion Room allows patients to receive medication or blood infusions on an outpatient basis. |
ENDOSCOPY UNITColonoscopies, gastroscopies and bronchoscopies are performed in our Endoscopic Unit for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. |
PAIN CLINICPain block procedures are performed in our Pain Clinic to help alleviate chronic pain. |
ELECTROCONVULSIVE THERAPYElectroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is the most effective treatment for severe depression. |

Off-shifts covered by surgeons, anesthesiologists and nurses who are on call.
