As the hub of the wheel for regional health care delivery, CVMC works closely with other groups based in and around the region to provide a full array of health services to central Vermonters. Some of our community partners include:
CVHHH (www.cvhhh.org) is a not-for-profit Visiting Nurse Association that belongs to and is responsive to the Central Vermont community. We provide comprehensive, high-quality home health and hospice care to all Central Vermonters, regardless of their illness, diagnosis, geographic remoteness, or ability to pay. In addition, the agency promotes the general welfare of the citizens of Central Vermont with health promotion and long term care services.

The People's Health and Wellness Clinic (www.phwcvt.org), is a free clinic, located at 553 N. Main Street in Barre, VT. PHWC provides primary health care and wellness education to uninsured and underinsured central Vermont residents who cannot otherwise afford these services. Dr. Mark Yorra serves as the Clinic’s Medical Director.
PHWC offers medical exams, primary care services, mental health services, holistic health, diet and nutrition, screenings, counseling, referrals, and assistance with prescriptions. To be eligible, patients must have household income below 300% of the poverty level ($32,616 for an individual; $66,456 for a family of four). The Clinic staff also will let you know if you are eligible for any of the public health insurance programs, and other patient financial assistance, and will help you with the applications and through the enrollment process.
