For people with Parkinson’s disease, their caregivers, and others who experience movement/mobility challenges, this class engages participants’ minds and bodies through many styles of dance, while exploring stretching, muscle strengthening, postural stability and rhythm.

The class is offered in a relaxed social environment that emphasizes enjoyment, fun, and creativity, with an eye towards connecting with the community. No dance experience required.

This class is specifically designed for people who wish to continue moving dynamically as the body adapts to mobility challenges. Movers are encouraged to participate at their own rate and pace of time, and to adapt movements to meet their own needs.

Taught by Sara McMahon, MA, a professional movement educator and performer with extensive training in BodyMind Dancing® and the Dance for PD® method.
