Coordination of Care

As a cancer patient at CVMC, you can expect that your care takes place in a collaborative environment, in which your surgeon, medical oncologist and radiation oncologist consult each other on a regular basis, and coordinate your care to ensure that you receive the best and most appropriate treatment plan possible.

This collaborative environment is further enhanced through bi-monthly meetings in which our entire oncology staff comes together to discuss patient treatment plans as well as advancements in cancer care.

Treating the Whole Patient

We believe that the well-being of the whole patient—mind and body—plays an extremely important role during and after treatment. Our cancer team includes social workers, a patient navigator, nutritionists, and rehabilitation therapists who are specially trained to support you throughout this difficult time. Find out more.
